Injector Solenoid Question

Can you replace the injector solenoids without replacing the injector on an 06? Every Cummins dealer and Dodge dealer keeps telling me that they do not come separate, and for some reason i just don't believe it. Please help if you have a part # that would be awesome my buddies truck is down and we need to get this thing back up ASAP. Thanks

Yes You can easily remover the solenoids. You need to have some type of device to hold the injector correctly ,I think its 24mm for the solenoid cap. YOU MUST CLOCK THE POSITION OF THE SOLENOID BOLTS,or the injector wires won't reach.

Thanks Todd. I figured it was very important to keep the injector from moving while you take off the solenoid. But where do i pick one up???? None of these part guys have any idea about it.

7/8 wrench ground down some will do the job...

Thats one of the few parts that are available from Bosch. You will need to find a Bosch authorized dealer or somebody that orders thru one to get a solenoid.



Hopefully there is not a parts shortage and they will sell you one. Other option is buy used injectors and swap solenoids.
