I need some help with injectors. I have stock injectors in my 01 and would like to get RV275's. But I would like to know about EDMing injectors. Can you EDM out stock injectors to get the same results as RV275's? And if you can, can someone tell me what the stock diameter and RV275's diameter are? I also would like to see a detailed picture of a injector. I ask all of this because I have a EDM at work, and would love to do this without the big expense of new injectors. -Jason

I looked into the 275s when I bought my 2000 truck, but ended up going with Mach 1s instead (the Mach 1 injectors are EDMs). I can't imagine that you could "EDM out" any existing injector--from what I understand it's not like honing where you pump an abrasive liquid through an injector to enlarge the existing holes. EDM stands for Electrical Discharge Machining (or something like that anyway) and it basically drills a tiny hole with an arc (hopefully someone who's actually knowledgeable in this area can correct me here).

My suggestion would be to get a set of good EDMs from one of the dealers here--you'll probably end up sending back your stock injectors as cores anyhow.

I am with Midnight on this one. You do not want to be EDMing your own injectors unless you know exactly what you are doing. Just buy a good set of injectors and be happy.
