Got an 02' 24V (not the truck in my sig) and I am wondering what the advantage of buying a new set of injectors is over just buying a set of tips? The truck has an intake, 5in exh, and an edge ez. I would really like a set of mach 4's ($900) but i found some 125 hp tips for only $280. What are the advantages and disadvantages of both?

Any info would help. Thanks!

The tips you have to change out yourself!:D

The tips are cheaper!:-laf

I got a million of 'em. :) The injector is simple to work on. You can also be sure you gave each one a good cleaning when you change them out. Use the money you save for some more truck goodies.

After you install the tips... . you are suppose to have the injectors pop tested to make sure that they are not leaking etc. I haven't heard of anyone having problems with installing tips... . just take your time & be very clean & careful. You should be alright.

so there really is no advantage of buying the whole injector other than you dont have to do the work yourself?

Well... . you do get a brand new injector when you order the complete units. There is always a chance of you not seating the injector to the body correctly & having a problem, but that is rare if you are clean & careful.
