Sorry if this subject has been worked over. I looked in the archive, but don't have time to pick through until I find what I am looking for. I am wondering what copper washer is prescribed. Head is stock thickness as well as the gasket. The injector tips are stock too. I put in the thin, rolled the engine over by hand and no interference. What have Y'all come up with?

Thanks,

Dave

I could measure them up if you like. I'll be somebody has the specs in front of them. The super thin ones are recommended with the higher perf. injectors. The really super thick ones are OEM. You can use any in between.

BTW the thinner washers with the POD's for example, are used to help control smoke at idle speed. They also povide a tad of advanced timing compared to the thick units.

I like idle speed smoke. So the thick ones get my vote but then my doctor says there is a reason that California mentions smoking will cause harm... ... ... ... ... I told him I have never been to CA That's my attempt at humor. Huah ha.

Scott, that sounds alright to me. I had my injectors rebuilt with a little extra "stuff" added, the man said 50 rwh. We will see, but in relation to the POD's, looks like I made the right choice. The middle thickness washer wouldn't fit on the injector. I would have to ream them out to get them to fit. Funny, or so I though. The real thick ones are just that. I don't know what happened to my original ones. They must have been stuck to the injectors when I took them in and I didn't pay any attention.

Well I should have her running soon.

Thanks for the reply.

That generally the case, they stick and are black after use. You don't really notice them. Just be sure they ARE there prior to installing the next set of washers or that they are NOT in the hole.

Any of the washers should fit just fine. Odd that they wouldn't... ... ... .....
