Injectors and Banks Kits?

A friend of mine has the Banks Powerpack Plus, or whatever their top of the line kit is, on his 99 2500. He tows 15k pounds and would like a little more power but doesn't want to have to be extremely cautious about EGTs... . how will the 275's or DD1's work for him? How much power will they add? Banks says he is at 291hp/648ft-lbs. Will he definately need a new clutch?

That power number might be a little high. I had 294hp with 275 injectors when I had the Banks Power Pack installed. The best bang for the buck on a Banks kit is to add an Edge EZ box. Made a big difference in power to mine. Plus better mileage and lower EGT's. Chances are very good he will need a clutch. If he baby's that one he'll be fine for a while, but tell him to expect to get one in the future. I highly recommend South Bend for the clutch.

DD1 Injectors and egt's rise quicklike but the powerpack from Bank's will not let egt's go over 1300 reguardless "untill you tell it differently by disconnecting some previous wiring included in the kit anyways check the sig below

I have the Banks with Sportbike injectors (similar to DDII's) and it made a HUGE difference in my power. EGT's will go up to 1400 under full throttle but will then settle back to 1250 - 1300 and hold there. I haven't dyno'd yet but I have considerably more power than Banks alone.

Just finished installing my DDII's and True Torque power module.



During the initial test drive, I had the truck sidways... . smoke'n both tires..... As I'm saying WOW!!!.



To answer your question... . Injectors make a difference.
