I haven't seen the EGTs yet but... .

I installed a set of Quadzilla injectors(42hp) and a 12cm housing night before last. I need to get the power hooked up to the pyro still. . hopefully tonight.

There is little or no (noticable) increase in smoke. boost is up from 10-12psi to near 20 psi on an otherwise bone-stock truck.

Idle is greatly improved, much smoother. The injectors that came out were filthy.

Seat of the pants. . WOW!!!!!!

It took about a year to build boost before. I now run a full gear higher in town because I don't need to rev it to make power. my little white 1st gen is now prety hard on tires. I am in the market for a LSD for the rear. Anyone know of a source??? '92 D250 5spd.

FWIW,

Mark

SWEET

Sounds like lots of :D and Oo.

What's next? (Besides fixing the one-wheel-peel)

How many holes do those injector nozzles have?

Sean

Speaking of nozzles... ... How many holes do the POD's have? I believe the stock injectors have 6, and PW's have 5.

Mike

POD's have 4 holes... ... ... hmmmmmmm... ... ... things might be getting really smoky... .

Forumua is bragging about his big sac again (did I just say that?). :p Too bad they are a large sac design, and don't have more holes.

Mike

Mike, it's the size of the holes that counts :p :-laf

I just looked at one of my stock injectors. It has 6 holes.

6 holes on my old stock injectors also.

Had to use some brake cleaner and a magnifying glass to see them though.

Okay, haven't heard of those before. Is that just a different name for POD or PW, or something totally different? This stuff is all new to me. :p

I just took another look at my stock injectors. It took me several tries to count them, but I counted six holes also. What is the horsepower/torque increase of POD’s over stock? It’s like 60hp or something isn’t it?

Quadzillas must be close to PW's?

I almost forgot, congrats on the first gen project Mark.

The Quadzilla injectors are a honed and matched injector. 6 holes I believe.

All I can say is the truck runs a lot better than before and the performance improvement was worth the $530 in parts and $90 injector puller.

:D

I believe the POD's are rated at 60 RWHP over stock injectors.

They are 4 hole injectors as someone already noted.

They also flow more fuel than an unmodified 370 injector as well. .

Bob.

Thanks, Bob.

hmmmm... ... 60 RWHP +15% = 69 RWHP..... 69 RWHP - 40 RWHP = 29 RWHP... ... . :D

Anybody know what torque the POD's are rated at?

Mike

Wow--the comments regarding 6 hole stock injectors really surprise me! My stock injectors had only four holes, and the reason I went with the PWs over the PODs is because the PWs had 5 holes. If I'd known about those 6 hole Quadzilla injectors awhile back, I definitely would have bought those instead!

Mike

Pardon my ignorance, but where can one get a set of these Quadzilla injectors? I like the sound of honed and balanced. ANd with 6 (?) holes, it sounds like a closer to stock fuel pattern, but with greater delivery. Of course, injection angles play into the equation, too. BTW, my stock injectors on 2 92s and 2 93s have had 6 holes. Maybe the 4 holers are on the older non intercooled ttrucks?

Daniel

They have 5 holes. I have dremel tool though!:D

They are a really clean running set of injectors though. We are yet to have a complaint!

Glad the ol white truck is running good Mark!

Quad

Hey, how bout this... I know were you can get a set of 4 hole nozzles, and you can look thru one hole and see light clean out the other one on the opposite side... ... :D ... they do run a bit rich though... :p :p

Bob. :p

He Heeee!

I don't think the wife would appreciate me bolting a set of those babies on under the hood but man think of the boost pressure.
