I'm about ready to upgrade my injectors and replace the connector tubes. I have the DD .pdf files explaining the injector install but not much info on replacing the connector tubes. Looking for help regarding any pitfalls before I start. The connector tubes and O-rings now have a new p/n for those that are considering replacing the tubes.

Dusky, when replacing the injectors you have to slide the tubes out an inch anyway. Just slip 'em on out with your fingers. I used a small flatblade screwdriver and gently pried on the edge once the injector lines were unscrewed. The injector lines are not necessary to completely remove, just remove the supports on the manifold then pull back & to the side on the lines to clear the tubes.

When I replaced the injectors on my early '98 24V (went with RVs) the power increase was nice but the idle quality went down a little. When I got new tubes I was disappointed they looked virtually identical to the stockers. However when I installed them, driveability improved considerably as well as mileage improved by 1mpg. The tubes were worth upgrading IMO.

The supply tubes can be purchased at any Cummins dealer. Cummins NW (Renton, WA) had them in stock when I called.
