injectors good/bad???

i've been wanting to upgrade power a little, don't want pressure box 'cause what i seen on here it does to injecters, Smarty seems to have exsessive smoke, how bout just injectors by themselves?? Back in 04 Joe Donally suggested that as the first step. Do larger injecters create more smoke?? don't want anymore than stock if that is possible?? Any input would be appreciated!! thanks

What would be a good "Towing Injector" for most guy snot wanting to add a bunch of power, and what would the benefits be. Scotty
