td27 turbo surge

A while back I inadvertently pumped some dirty fuel into my Kubota M4700 tractor. I drained the bad fuel and changed the filter (several times) and added Diesel Klean to the fuel. Having done that I now have a "miss" in the engine, if it were a gas engine I would be checking wires and plugs. So, I'm of the mind that I have trash in the injector nozzles and/or the pump.

My question(s) are:

Is there another additive that might do a better job?

If I replace them, which one should I start with nozzles or pump or all at once?

Or any other input that may or may not be helpful.

Thanks in advance.

Yes and yes. Mechanical pump and nozzles. And I'm thinking dirt made it past the filter. Also, lots of hours on the meter. It's a '97' model.
So now with that information established let's start speculating, guessing, or just tossing the dice on how to best address the situation.

Thanks

I am going to assume you have good fuel flow to the injector pump. Lift pump is good and no line blockage.

I would crack each injector line, one at a time with engine idling to identify which cylinder(s) are dead. If just one, I would exchange the dead hole with a known good injector to see if the miss follows the injector or stays with that hole. If the miss follows the injector, it is probably bad. If the miss stays with the original cylinder, the injector pump might be bad or you have a mechanical issue on that hole, such as valves ECT.

The Kubota M4700 tractor appears to have an F2803 5 cylinder engine. Kubota parts are hard to come by, unless you go to Kubota. If you need injectors or a pump you might check with Oregon Fuel Injection.

NIsaacs, yes good fuel flow, the tank is above the engine so no lift pump. What you are saying sounds like a good plan to me and I can do that, see if I can find the culprit.

Thanks for the input.
