Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) injectors that work with Edge box

Been thinking about getting some injectors for my '02 HO, and am wondering what experience you guys have with Edge EZ/injector combos. Let me know what's worked best for you or what you've heard works well together with the Edge EZ.

Depends on what you're looking for power wise, and what you use your truck for. Adding injectors will likely smoke your stock clutch (didn't see one in your sig. )

RV275's are a cheap and easy 40hp or so. I would Mach somethings, again depending on how much power you want.

Pretty much any injectors will work with your EZ, just depends on how much/well you want them to work.

Good point about the clutch... I am planning on a new centerforce once I hit 100k or so. I really don't do much heavy towing, but when I do, it's HEAVY, like the 36' triple axle gooseneck we loaded with 15,000 lbs of steel (+trailer weight of 5000) this past weekend. Annabelle pulled it like a champ in 5th (direct), never got over 55mph, held right around 800 EGT, 10psi boost on level ground. I don't need to get too wild, just something to give me a little extra when I need it and not put a strain on the engine.

My vote goes to Don M's Mach series of injectors ( www.f1diesel.com). I recently put a set of 1. 2's in my 01. 5 HO and so far i couldn't be happier with them. They are extremely clean running, smoother then the stock sticks were, added the power i expected them to add, and all while improving mileage. Oo.



I've only put one full tank through the truck since i've had them, and i got 21. 5mpg (hand calculated). Compare that to my average with stock injectors of 19. 5 and my previous best of 20. 2mpg and that's a solid 1. 5 - 2 mpg improvement.



Only thing i'm not certain of is how the stock clutch is going to like them with a load hooked to the truck. I haven't towed the gooseneck with them yet.



If your looking for something bigger I still recomend the Mach series. There is an injector in that line-up for whatever hp your looking to achieve.

Absolutely. The only thing about Don's injectors is price, but then again you get what you pay for. If you don't tow often and don't really tear *ss when you do I'd say some 1. 2's or 1. 6's or so.

The other thing, when you go for a clutch I would not go anywhere but South Bend. They are the best in the business. Again though, you get what you pay for.

RV 275s - can't go wrong for $250. With an EDGE EZ you will be putting down 300+change RWHP.

Use what cummins would use. Buy a set of new bosch 275rv injectors. 40hp and 1-2mpg. no smoke no slobbering and new from bosch

I have a set of 275's and have more than enough power and picked up 1. 5 mpg. I'm getting 24 mpg on the highway and 20 mpg around town. I run my Edg Comp in level 1 on a regular basis and turn it up when I need manuvering power. Oo.

Dons injectors are worth every penny. I saw a dramatic reduction in EGT's when I went from DD3's to Mach 4's. I've never ran 275's - and I suppose you could get a set. If ya didnt like them, you could send them to Don for the core charge!

If it were me and I had the money, I would definitely get a set of Don's Mach series. However, when I did mine, I didn't have the money, so I got a set of Jammer EDM tips. They work well, and I have been happy with them. It just depends on how much power you want to make, what your transmission can handle, and what the engine can handle in terms of EGTs.

Skip the 275's unless you are looking for a small increase in power. I had them and traded them for a set of DD3's. I too would go with the F1 series or some DD Jammers.



For a clutch look at Southbend's, unless things have changed Centerforce was not the greatest for higher HP.

The reason I wish i went with III's is when I tow I only use injectors now. At WOT I don't see more than 1150-1200F climbing the biggest hills. I do have some room to play with for that setup. When I turn the fueling box on my egt's soar to 1400-1500 easily even with 35-40lbs of boost. But that setup is for playing only, and some passing with the trailer.

I had DD2s for 2 years with an EZ. They worked very well. Plenty of power and no EGT problems. They are useable with the stock turbo, exhaust, intake, and (for me) even the stock clutch.



Good combo.



But, Don Morrison's Mach injectors are in a class by themselves. I upgraded from my trusty DD2s (75hp) to Don's Mach 4s (150hp). Even with a MUCH larger injector, I have LESS smoke, MORE power and BETTER mpg!!



I'm running these 150hp injectors with a stock turbo, stock exhaust, and no chip of any kind. They are driven every day with no smoke issues and no EGT issues (partly BECAUSE I have no chip so the oem computer plays nanny and keeps things safe).



Oh, and I live over 6000 feet elevation.



After owning and driving these injectors, I can't understand why anyone would consider anything smaller.
