I have downsized to a set of 120 hp injectors to try and run with the tst box, I also have a QSB-1 turbo. On 9/9 I can hit about 1800 degrees( I'm guessing because the pyro only goes to 1600) in about 1. 5 seconds. I can still bury the pyro on 5/5 in 3 to 4 seconds. I've pulled the box off. It has insane power gains but it is not useable for me.

That sounds about right, now it needs Twins;)

Twins are the direction I'm heading in. Probably goin to add some injectors to my set-up too. Got any suggestions on a good set of twins?

Brandon

Pulled the box off because 9/9 or 5/5 is unusable? How about 3/3? Or 2/2?

What's so bad about having a box you can grow into instead of out of?

I would think the timing and pulse width adjustments of the TST would complement the injectors quite nicely; even on a "low" setting!!!!!!

120hp injectors; that's a lot of fuel!!!!!!!

How do you like the turbo... . other then needing twins for all that fuel! :--)

I'm running level 4/4 and really like it for everyday driving. Levels 6/6-9/9 is where I need twins and only plan on using those level on the drag strip. Just wanted to be able to use all the power of the box.

I really like the DD Jammer turbo. Spools real fast and is wastegated at 40 lbs. The turbo really sings, which is something I like. When I took my truck to TST's shop they seemed impressed with the egts. Highest we got on their dyno was 6/6 and egts hit 1500 degrees.

Brandon

Brandon - Was the dyno run at TST with the edge stacked & what was your #s like if you dont mind. Also 6-6 is only 112 hp - No?

Thanks

The dyno run at TST was with only the TST box on, no Edge. With the box on 0/0 the truck dynoed at 267hp/491tq and egts were 880 degrees. On 6/6 numbers were 430hp/854tq and egts were 1500 degrees. That a 163 hp gain from 0/0 to 6/6. Then I got the truck dynoed with TST and Edge stacked at a different place and on 6/6 it made 511hp/970tq. Torque was calculated by tractive effort.

I figured twins were next but then got to thinking are twins going to be enough, if its true about the tst box fueling to late and fire plus fuel going into the exhaust then what.

Big Mak, I said I took the box off the truck not that I got rid of it. I have a quad box that gives me the same amount of useable power without having to rely on my self control to not give it more power. If you are looking for a set of twins give Kenny at Turbo Auto Diesel in Phoenix a call. I love the QSB-1 turbo, the only thing it needs to be waste gated and Kenny is working on that.
