Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Injectors

As a general rule is there any way to ID a certain brand of injector. My 2000 CTD is the best one I have ever owned power wise. I bought it used and it came with an EDGE box. I am going to pull the valve cover and see if I can identify the injector, but was curious if there would be any tags to indicate what I have. The injectors in my MCI9 bus are tagged from the factory so its pretty easy to get the size and type. Thanks, MOE

I'd like to know that also, I bought a wrecked truck with a good motor and am trying to figure out what all was or was not done to the motor. What #'s are on the stock injectors?

if you pull an injector count the holes, performance injectors use more holes than stock.
