Hi guy's it's me again. Back to injector choice!Do PODs smoke badly or just some. Having a hard time making decsion between POD's or Power wagons? My truck dosen'nt smoke at all except a little on hot restarts. How much seat of pants feel is there between the two? Also any special tools needed to install or can they be installed in driveway with basic tools. Piers made a comment about with pod's maybe going to a differant turbo which I really don't care to do. I already have the 14mm Banks waste gaited housing. Dont'want to use 185's and go well it helped a little and aw shucks. Kinda went threw that feeling with some of the Banks stuff I already installed.

Hey DP,

Take it from me the POD's are the way to go if you are looking for seat of the pants performance. They sometimes smoke at idle. Not alot, just some from time to time. This is because they are sac type injectors. If you set your truck up properly it will only smoke at 3/4 to full throttle. Another benefit to the POD's are longer pump life as the pump doesn't have to work as hard to push the fuel.

As far as the up grade to a PDR HX35 if you can't afford it right now don't worry as the H1C will work fine as I have ran the stock turbo until recently. If one day you do want to up grade to a PDR HX35, you will notice it faster spool up of the turbo, more boost, lower egt's, less smoke across the board and faster cool down of egt's for shut down. Also it has a cool whine/whistle.

Your 14cm housing will work great with a PDR HX35 also.

The injectors can be done with simple tools. Wrenches, vise grips, pry bar, never seize, etc. Less then 1 hour job.
