Inlet -vs- outlet on power steering pump

I'm really confused here and not sure why. Seems so simple. I ordered a PSC SP1490R remote reservoir power steering pump.
Fit's pre-2003 trucks
The specs say it has a....
OUTLET -10 AN male
INLET 16mm o-ring female

On edit: PSC doesn't tell you what the ports are. The re-sellers do and I believe they are wrong.

Am I getting my inlet, outlet right here?
Is the outlet the high pressure I assume?

Reason I'm asking is the original pump, the high pressure line is the o-ring female from the integral tank to the power steering rack. (this isn't a Dodge truck)
Everything I read says the low pressure from the remote reservoir needs a large dia hose... hence the -10AN

That is a fitting for higher pressure, I would say that is the outlet from pump. The return is low pressure, sometime just a hose with clamps. bg

The reservoir I purchased uses AN fittings. None of those are a high pressure requirement.
Also I wouldn't think the high pressure outlet would be in that position.

Did any hoses come with the kit?
Looking this picture I'd say the bottom fitting feeds the pump and the smaller is the return. On the pump it makes sense to me that they are calling the 16mm the inlet and the -10AN the outlet. Intake plumbing should be sized larger than discharge, hydraulics 101.

16mm = roughly 5/8"
-10AN = roughly 3/8"

I haven't received the stuff yet but no it doesn't come with lines as far as I know. Or fittings. They don't know your application.

The stock pump uses a 16mm O-ring fitting for output. A 16mm o-ring fitting has a -6AN female outlet..... that's the high pressure outlet.

The -10AN that is showing on top of the pump I ordered I believe is the low pressure feed from the reservoir.

I'll call them today.

This is a 16mm o-ring fitting x -6AN. I highly doubt this is the feed from the reservoir. This is a high pressure fitting. It seats inside the pressure regulator. This, I would call the output.

So I found just found this diagram which pretty much confirms the names PSC re-sellers give are backwards in my opinion.

The PSC website doesn't tell you the fittings. Other sites selling this like Summit I think are the ones misnaming the ports.

I agree with the schematic from reservoir to pump but the physical line sizing of the pump is odd. Supply should always be larger than discharge. Did you email Summit with that chart? Good find.

I called PSC. I was right. Summit names them wrong. PSC uses the term "feed" line for the line to the reservoir. And yes it's a -10AN which is recommended as the feed line dia. But PSC told me you can order this pump with a slew of different port configurations to your needs. You cannot do that from the re-seller. Apparently the resellers order one configuration and name them wrong LOL
