BD air vs. US Gear air - anyone have experiences, good or bad, with these? Which one works the best? I had read that the US Gear had trouble building pressure in a 4" model, whereas the 4" BD did not have a problem. Any other 4" air models that should be considered? Thanks.

I have a 4" PacBrake inline. It is air actuated. The only problems I have had was water messing up the pump relay. The relays are inexpensive and I have it wrapped in plastic now. I have the compressor mounted upside down under the truck bed.

The 4" BD remote I have has been on the truck now for I think 4 Years. In 4 years the ONLY issue I have had was on two different winters (When Temps got down BELOW -10* ) Was the vaccuum valve sticking shut. A lil WD 40 inside and all has been great. Salt is a killer up here so the brake itself is holding up fantasticly.

I have the 4" BD w/airpump, and TowLoc installed. Very happy with the unit. We did the install, the E-Brake went in easy, but the TowLoc Box took some time to wire into the harnest. (Wished the TowLoc was Plug & Play). I looked at all the E-Brake system, I was impressed with the BD setup and the option to Fine Tune the TowLoc with my Laptop. I haven't found a downside of the unit, other than the TowLoc install. I go up and down Cajon Pass just about every other weekend with our 5th wheel. My BD does an AWESOME job holding back my truck and trailer going down the grade before the Run Away Truck Ramp and, before the 15/215 Jct.

I have a USG air and like it. I have had it about 3 years and never a single problem. Works exactely as advertised.

I use a 120v air compressor bed mounted with 4 gallons of air storage. It will run the USG for about a week when set at 40 psi on the regulator to the USG.
