The Inline1 adaptor is used for all the cummins except for in the dodge,

then you need a Inline 2 adaptor. this is a interface device. you need cummins Insite software to use it. The software is sold to dealers. (peterbilt, kenworth, volvo, freightliner dealers, and some privite shops. and then you only get the version that lets you trouble shoot the engine. If you want to change HP or Torque you have to get a diskett from a cummins disturbitor, sign a release form and pay 250. 00- 900. 00 depending if it is in base warranty.

There is no HP or Torque up grades for the dodge.

The software is sold as a yearly subscription.

it has to be register, the software can only be register once. can not be put into a different computer and registered again, because the sopftware has a register number, and it is recorded when you call in to get the password to unlock it. then when you make a change in a ecm it leaves a foot print in the ecm as to which software made a change to the ecm.

Also there is nothing in the dodge ecm to change. you can only monitor sensors. check codes, clear codes. :{ :{ :{

well that was a mouthfull....

I think that is about the SINGLE most ever information in a post about the Cummins software. Most is correct from what I hear, but I do hear that you CAN make LITTLE changes in the ECM, but not adding 100hp or anything like that. Mostly PTO and other stuff like that. Wish some one out there would let me in the know about this stuff more on a trip up Munice(HINT HINT)!!!
