Inside door trim

What is the best way to remove the door trim. I am going to be replacing my mirrors.

Remove the screws for the handle in the armrest.



Remove the inside door handle.



Remove the screw up by the A pillar.



Grab whichever corner you can lift free the farthest and pull sharply. By pull sharply, I don't mean just try to rip it off. Try to pop the clips out of the door (not the trim panel) by pulling on it and keeping it as flat as possible. It's kind of tricky and you have to have a feel for it.



If that sounds too tricky, get a trim tool (NAPA has them) and use that to pop them out of the door (NOT THE TRIM PANEL!).



Some folks can install the mirrors without removing the panel, I couldn't. Good luck.

The Mopar tow mirrors come with excellent instructions. It also comes with replacement plastic clips to replace the two or three that may be destroyed as you loosen only the top of the door trim.



The mirror install can be done without a trim tool.

But the tool is cheap and makes it easier, Lisle make one for about $6. 00

See? I told you some could do it without removing the panel!

This is almost as good as a oil or TC debate!

Mirrors arrived today

Well the mirrors came today. Only about 45 minutes to install. Did it without tool. All went well and I am pleased with the mirrors. Maybe I can sell the old ones and get some of my money back!!!!!
