My buddy just got his Recon cab lights in. The kit was kinda half @$$ if ya ask me. No fastners or template. My question to you guys is there a template around we can get. We pulled the headliner and there is a stamped steel bace right there how did ya all work around this to bolt them down and wire them how hard was it about how long did it take. Any info on this would help. Thanks

Where are you located. I assume your talking about a 3rd Gen (your signature shows a second Gen)Ya I have the template ,came with my mopar kit. I dont know anything about the recon kit but if they match factory ,the worst thing about the job is the five 7/8" holes you have to drill for the light socket clearance. Wiring isnt bad ,there is plug on the right A-pillar to tap into for power. The factory position is behind the brace your seeing ,so thats not a problem.

My factory cab lights are leaking, Do I want to fix them myself with a little RTV or take it to dealer, only 4700 miles? Also, how do you take the headliner down? I need to run a couple of antennas. Thanks and I enjoy the site very much.

There is a TSB out for leaking cab lights that have a new designed cab light with a gasket installed.

Does anyone know what the tsb # or new cab light part # is? One of my lenses is cracked and i have also had leaking issues with some of the other lights as well.

I am talking about a 3rd gen. We are in Northern Colorado so don't worry about the template im going to go see what string I can pull at Dodge to get a template. We set them on the truck behind the brace and it seams to far back. My buddys dad has a 3rd gen 3500 so we are going to take a look at it. Thanks for the info.

The Recon lights are only replacement lenses, not a kit to add clearance lights.

DITTO THAT, I put Recons on my 04' and I wasn't happy with the product they put out. I opened the packages up and the second light I took out was not sealed properly and I had to glue the lense to seal it up. I liked the look of the clear lenses but after time I had leaking problems with them. I siliconed the screws afterwards and they quit leaking.
