I've got all these wonderful fittings on the SS line - what type of sealant should I use? Also, how should I get rid of all the air in the line?

Thanks, Michael

Nope - The line is not too big of a deal on that part, but all the other connections - valve to close down the amount going through and such.

The valve needs to be just barely cracked open.

Use Permatex #2 for tapered pipe fittings.

No need to bleed air, it will do it on it's own.

Where to find or subsitute?

I looked yesterday in trying to find it, but no luck at a couple of auto stores. I was luckly to find the Vavoline Syn Power Steering fluid... just in time for cooler weather.

I'll look tonight in some other stores, but is there a subsitute I could use?

That's surprising, Permatex #2 is probably one of the most used automotive sealants. Try Napa. If they don't have it anti-seize will also work.
