1. On a 04 SO with auto what pin number do I tap into for a X-Monitor for the trans temp. The instructions I got suck and are for a 03.

2. Which one of the two connectors is the 50 and 60, 55 year old eyes are having a bad time counting which is which, which one is it the Front and the back one

3. Where under the hood is the best place to mount the control box and which is the best wire and where to power it up?

4. Pre or post turbo ?

I can answer a couple of these.

ECM connector C1 has 60 pins and the 2 polarizing pins on the connector are on TOP.

ECM connector C2 has 50 pins and the 2 polarizing pins on the connector are on the BOTTOM.

I *think* C1 is toward the front of the engine, while C2 is the one toward the rear.

Both connectors are numbered left-to-right, top-to-bottom, so that #1 is the upper-left corner and #50 (or #60) is the bottom right corner.

As for where to hook up for power, I think sometimes it comes down to personal preference. Is the monitor supposed to get continuous power or ignition-only power?

In my manual I don't see where any ECM pinout is for transmission temperature. However, on the powertrain control module connector number C2 (a 32 pin connector that is apparently white in color, it's the middle connector of the 3 that are on the PCM), the transmission temp signal is pin number 1. Pin 1 is the bottom left if you're looking at the connector with the white tab pointing vertically.

Where to put the pyro? Most people will say to put it pre-turbo, and I agree, if you're going to run a fueling box.
