what do i need to do to change my lift pump on my 98. 5 24valve i think i read you need to remove filter housing. how about them banjo fittings are they hard to get off and does the new cummings pump come with new washers if their is some on both sides?how about the mounting bolts?or is their nuts that will come of with the studs?is their just one wire set?and also is their a pump i can install instead of the stock one or am i stuck with stock?i might be ready to buy a fass system but how does it install i think i read where someone put it behind the rear axle with a shortbox i have a quadcab long box how long would it take toinstall on my truck also do you just remove the filter housing?and how long would it take to install and does it come with all the hoses,fittings,wiring?? will probably be buying soon!also where can i buy the fass system?and how much??i have low pressurealso is their a retun hos and does it replace the hose next to the vppump thank you all for your information i have been on here a lot lately since i joined dec 1st sorry thank again!
 
You should do a search on "lift pump install" and you'll get more info than you'll ever need. It's not hard, maybe an hour. I didn't remove the filter housing. It's 3 bolts on the lift pump and disconnect the lines coming into the pump. I did mine from above but if your on the short side, it may be a little more difficult but manageable. I have a new lift pump for sale if your interested, still in the bag from Cummins. $130 to your door...
