Hi Brothers,
I just bought a new 2015 Ram Outdoorsman with an 8.4A radio but didn't have Parkview back up camera.
I see kits for installing, have anybody installed the kit?
Thanks, Herb

I made my own kit when I got my 14. Shortly after I installed it Mopar came out with a kit that was about the same price and you didn't have to make up the harness.

Was the wiring in place back to the tailgate or as I suspect, I'll have to tear the truck apart and run it from tailgate to the radio. I'll have to locate a wiring schematic to see. It does have an 8.4A radio! Then to see what the Ram Stealers charge for flash to add camera. I'm hoping my radio comes with an RCA connector.

It was really odd. Wires were in harness in cab to just under drivers foot connector by frame rail. Then missing to tailgate connector. I spent about 50 bux for wire and had oem connectors from another harness. Do yourself a favor and just buy the Mopar kit.

I just bought the MOPAR kit. Wow, it has a lot of crap to install it. It involves using a Miller depopulate tool to change out connections in a plug UNDER THE DASH and soldering on a lead to another wire and heat shrink the splice. I could post the instructions possibly to let you see the fun. LOL I also have to get a dealer flash on the PCM to turn on the reverse signal activation. I'll have to make notes and pictures to post here. Herb

My truck didn't have the backup camera I was told by the dealer that the only option was to install the system that used the rear view mirror for the display. I ended up finding a kit on Ebay that uses the Radio as the display. Only issue was the install. 6 hours later and a trip to the dealer to turn the "Newly installed Option" on it works great. The kit had a additional harness that had to be added, tapped, spliced and run through the truck. Like I said it was quite the project. The only tap that gave me a really hard time was the one into the body control mod under the dash. Very short length of harness that had to be spliced into all for one very small wire. If you plan on doing this up date pick a day that is cool and the wife an kids are out of town. Don't forget to ice the Beer for when you finish and the dealer turns it on and it all works.
