Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Installed Catcher Ecm No Waiting To Start Light

Installed my catcher ECM today but lost waiting to start light and believe the air box heaters are not coming on. As they are controlled by the ECM, I believe it must be there. Any ideas?







2002, 4 x 4, ATS Trip Lock, FASS, Pro Guard Air Filter, 4 inch exhaust, meters everywhere, Tag 2, beginning bomber.

Carl,
Chances are the software version you received is different than your OEM version.
Have a little patience, for I know Bob / Marco will correct the issue, they gave me great support when mine had a small issue (no cruise control).

Make sure you email both of them.

Or do you want to give up the CaTcher... ?

That is a sign that ECM may be bad. Make sure that connector to ECM is properly seated and tight. You can also pull negative batt cables for 5 min and see if it resets. I have had to do this to get the WTS and LP to function. Good luck and welcome to the site. Mike

Carl, It will work perfect. Please remove both (red) poitive battery connections. Please wait 30 minutes and then with the key on please reattach both positive battery connections.



Everything should be good to go.

Hey Bob, one thing I forgot to tell you is my "Wait to start" light stays on until I start it. I just give it about 5-10 seconds depending on temp before I light it off. No biggie, since I'm the only one that drives it. Shouldn't pose a problem, should it? I hope not, cause this thing really gets after it now!!!!
