I installed DDIIs on my truck before going to Canada to have DTT do up my trans. I ordered EGT/boost guage (SPA) and the guy hasn't shipped them yet nor can I get a hold of him. I'm leaving this Thursday to head to DTT. It's 1200 mi one way. I disconnected my Edge box to drive up there. DTT wanted to have all mod installed so they can set up the trans right.

Anyhow, am I safe driving without the EGT as long as I stay out of the GO pedel? I'm not towing and my truck will be empty... . all freeway driving from Calif up I-5 to Washington to Canada.

You should be fine. With DDIIs i could just barely make it to 1200 at WOT running empty. This was with a boost fooler and straight piped though.

So you should be ok.

Justin, I don't have the boost fooler or boost elbow on because I have the HY turbo with the hard line to the waste gate diaphram.

Plug the edge box back in so you'll have a boost fooler. Just don't go nuts with the loud pedal for extended period of times and you'll be just fine. If you stay near the speed limit I wouldn't worry.

Thanks guys... This guy that I ordered the guages from at the first of the month is "hanging me out". I have to try to get a hold of him when I get back.

Hey, you guys ALL know the speed limit of a Cummins is when the pump governs!!:D I will take it easy... just wanted to poll you guys that have guages to see what you all thought. Can't wait for the trans re-birth!! Chris

I guess taking it easy on the way back, now that your transmission will be able to hold it, is going to be the hard part... ... ..... you won't be sorry:)
