installed new governor spring truck wont stay running

First i would like to say im new to the forum and this is agreat site with lots of info. I installed a 3200 rpm spring today and can only get truck to start with the pedal down it starts but wont stay running when i let pedal go? I'm thinking i have the index on the throttle shaft off? What should i try next?

You got it... the shaft is 1 spline off.



If you removed the fuel screw, that could be turned out too far also.

By paying close attention to the index marks prior to removing the throttle lever, then indexing it the same way upon reinstall. Should be on the second index mark.
