More Horsepower Wanted

How to adjust wastegate for more boost?

Originally I upgraded from an Edge EZ to a Mad ECM after changing out the 275's to Jammer II's and upgrading the HY to a PDR Hybrid HX35. My trans bit the dust the first time towing. Rebuilt with a Goerend t/c and the remainder of the trans got a full ATS treatment, vb, internals and trans commander. After upgrading the exhaust to 4", I didn't like the way my truck drove with the Mad ECM with the set up I had, so I took off the Mad ECM and put on an Edge Drag Comp. I could definately tell the difference between the Mad ECM and the Comp. Bob Wagner then offered to lend me a Special Catcher to try out with the Comp. I received the Special Catcher at work on Wednesday and installed it on Thursday morning. This set up is the absolute best thing I've done to my truck to date. It drives the way I like as far as power coming on, with the Mad ECM, my turbo barked every time the truck shifted if I had the accelerator floored, plus I felt it lug, pouring on too much fuel, if I didn't keep the rmps up. The set up now is perfect for me. I haven't towed with it yet, but I can tell, I will have no problems with this setup.

Major props to Bob Wagner on letting me try the Special Catcher with no strings attached. I drove around about an hour yesterday before I went home and boxed up the Mad ECM and shipped it off to Bob. I'm keeping this Catcher, I love it. Plus with the Comp, I can control the smoke, from a puff (1x1) to a smoke show C. Harlan would admire :-laf on 5x5.

I'm never taking this off of my truck!

Thanks again Bob. I also receive a special gift along with the Catcher.

Hats off to Marco and Bob.

That's funny.

So what is changed on this special version of the ECM?

I believe the timing is either reduced or non existant on the Special, allowing the Comp to provide the timing, but man does my truck love this version.

Now I've got to find an ABS sensor, wire was cut most likely by the front rotor.

That's pretty much what happens. I was told that the special CATCHER was developed for guys running big twins and big sticks or a Drag Comp in that it adds less timing than the regular CATCHER on the top end. Essentially, the regular CATCHER would add too much timing in these configurations, which is not necessarily a good thing either.

And the combination does work very well. :)
