Installing A Remote start unit

I got a remote start unit for Christmas and was reading the install instructions . Seems like a lot of work does anyone have any suggestions.

The unit is made by IC Dynamics. I think I need to find a wire color code for my truck.

I installed a Clarion Ungo (made by DEI) remote start / security system in my truck a few years ago. A Dodge service manual with its wiring charts was invaluable... couldn't have done the install without it.
