Ok I got a powermax cr to install on a 2003. He has a fass 100hp injectors and a 5 inch pipe. What settings do you guys think I should start with? I have never got to use one I have a 06 built in june so I sold it to him. Also what do you think I sould stop at with with what he has. Oh yea he has a dual disk clutch so that sould be fine.

Thanks Scott

HP settings should go no higher then 4. TQ maybe 2. You can boost the rail pressure to 2 or 4 and be good to go.

The thing with 100hp injectors is that the TST box is assuming stock injectors. Before my injectors I could run 9 and not drain the rail. with the 90hp sticks I'm no more then 4 before I deplete the rail

As far as timing, I would work with that. Just listen for rattle, if you hear it, back the max timing down 3 degrees.

Bottom line, Keep an eye on EGT and rail pressure. anything under 20K under WOT, your trying to emulate a 12-valve (over fueling), that's not how a CR works. The TST box will not smoke as much as they used to back in the day, they are tuned rather well, just there's no bottom end. However the 100hp injectors will help with that bottom end alot.

EGT's your are good to hold 1350 all day. short spurts of 1800 is even ok! Just remember to let everything cool down after an 1800EGT run. ;-)

I am running the early model TST with an Edge EZ stack on my 03 with a Super B Special but have not upgraded my injectors yet and watch out for the TQ setting, it will send your EGT's to the moon and if your running the stock turbo it will take that with it

I'm thinking about a TST also to use when towing instead of the Smarty.

I will be watching this thread a bit too.

I run 3/3 with the smarty on 5. Anything more and I run out of fuel. I use the twins program on the tst for the 24 psi fueling (eo5). I find the early fueling 12 psi (eo3) is way too lurchey for daily driving.

try losing the twins program all together... helps keep rail pressure up. I run Smarty TNT/r on level 9, TST on power level 4, and hold 22. 5k psi rail pressure with Flux 1's

depends on your stock turbo ;-)

My old one has seen 1800 (on a 2000 degree pyro) atleast 30 times since I got the TST and 40-45 psi of boost for 50 or the last 100,000 miles... The shaft had zero end play and minimal, I bet well with in spec, up and down / side to side play. didn't smoke blue (as in leaky seal) if you used 10w 45 oil (amsoil). Zero discolorations. By all accounts it should of blew up long go.

ok this is an older tst and does not have the rail adj I put it on 4 4 but it smoked like a freight train. He loved it I hate trucks that smoke that much. I turned up the hp to 6 and it lightend up the smoke but was still their. It was with in the ranges on the pyro so I am gessing this is right? I told him to play with it and see what setings he liked because after all it is his truck. But has anyone else done this and had this prob?
