All,
The moderator may want to move this over to the engine forum, but wanted to start here as intalling an Air Dog (or FASS) will be way different on a C&C w/ the fuel tank all the way back of the truck, different electrical and plumbing routing.
The Air Dog didn't have install instructions w/ it, so am in the process of getting them. Couldn't find 2007-2009 on line. E-mail broken in Air Dog site, so I e-mailed Extreme Diesel for help.
I will dropping the tank so I'm running the fuel low on the truck, then will pump out the remainder. I'm going to drop the tank to install the plumbing. I've decided to run the Air Dog, then the Griffin fuel filter/water separator, then run into the stock fuel filter/water separator. I know fuel filters work better pulling fuel than pushing, but I learned this after purchasing the Griffin GTB 455 w/ 12ea 2 micron filters. I e-mailed Filtration Depot asking if I paid shipping both ways, could I swap 2 micron for 10 micron, but no response. I think ideal would be 30 to 10 to 2 micron, but I think this setup will work well. I'm using the stock fuel/water separator and liftpump off my 2002 to filter fuel from Aux tank to stock tank.
I will take the opportunity while the truck is down to plumb the aux tank, install gauges and install my CB. I'll take pics and post along the way.
Take care,
Wiredawg
