Hey Guys,

I am thinking about getting a 92 W250 without cruise and would really like to have that option. My 92 automatic has it but it hasn't worked since about 315K miles.

Does the PCM need to be replaced?

Is there extra stuff on the fuel injection pump that will not be there without the cruise?

Where is the speed sensor for the cruise?

It's a 5-spd, does the clutch have an on/off switch on it?

Any other things I might need to think about?

BTW, it is this one on eBay - Item # 260423453917.

Any of you guys know anything about it or want to take a quick look at it? I'll buy you lunch if I end up buying the truck. It is in Ft. Lauderdale somewhere not Boca Raton.

Thanks,

Ron

I looked into doing this too, and might still, extra engineering and all.

I don't know about the PCM.

There is nothing extra on the pump, the cruise cable goes on the long pin on the bellcrank.

The clutch should have a switch, but I don't remember seeing it in the FSM while I was looking at the schematics, but the brake light switch has to be changed to a 6 wire switch.

The wiring isn't in the cab harness for cruise. I found this out when I looked at mine to do. That's why I said extra engineeering. ;)
