Yep

At your house. Not trying to be a wise guy, but they really are not hard to install. Take your time and ask questions here if your not sure. I was in the same dilemma when I first got the truck, after some reassurance from a fellow TDR member I did them myself. I'm hardly a diesel tech nor an electrical engineer, but with the guidance of the TDR membership and this link http://www.tstproducts.com/gauge_install.html I was able to install them myself and learned quite a bit about the truck while doing so.

THE CLEANER - just do it yourself!! I was surprised how easy it was to install gauges but I could not have done it without the help of this board, particularly with respect to the wiring re power and dimming etc. Do a search on this site for the topic and take your time doing it!

Good luck!!

gauge install

i agree, tackle it. you can get lot of help here. the scariest part is drilling and tappinf for the egt probe(s). it isn't difficult. the manifold and elbow are soft cast. with patience was easy. wiring is basic. don't know which truck you have, but on the newer trucks there is a test port by the MAP sensor, that can be used for the boost... ...

Ask for help

If you are not sure you want to tackle it yourself, ask for help from members that live in your area. You might get more offers of assistance than you want.

Give it a try.

GAUGES

OK,Im asking for help. Which gauges do I go with? I like the way the a pillar's look. Anyone out there in the tampa bay area that would like to help me out,it would be greatly appreciated. TIA:D  :D

gauges

you should put in an Exhaust Temperature Gauge, preferrably with the probe pre turbo, fuel pressure gauge, and either boost or transmission temp. the transmission temp gauge is probably more important than the boost, if you are only going to put in 3 gauges. consider one of the combo gauge brands--SPA, or Westach, which have 2 gauges in each gauge. SPA's are spendy, and digital, but nice. Westachs are nice gauges, but I THINK a bit hard to read at a glance?? here is a link to my gauges--Isspro EV's. https://www.turbodieselregister.com/user_gallery/displayimage.php?&photoid=552&width=1. top is EGT, middle is fuel pressure, and bottomn is boost. i have a transmission temp gauge mounted under the dash, below the ashtray.

i'm only about 10 hours drive north of you :D . bring it up some weekend. i've got the heated shop and the tools. just takes several hours to do.

sorry so looong... ... ... ..... :)
