I'm going to be putting a new temp. control cable in my 93. I am looking for advice from those who have been down this road before. Thanks

I did a post on this several years ago. So far back, that I can't remember much about it... . but then, I spend several hours a day looking for stufff around the house.

However, I worked from the glove box side and I think I connected the old cable end with some nylon cord. Pulled that all the way through and then used the cord to pull the new cable end over to the heater control. For some reason it seemed that it would go easier this way, and it did do ok.

If I could do it again, I'd put some liquid graphite down the cable sleeve before installation.

I haven't gotten it out yet, as there some other things I'm doing while I have the dash apart. Quick question: can you get to the passenger side end of the cable thorugh the "access cover" by the hump, or do you have to pull the whole enchilada out?

Thanks. I got her all put back together today. While I was there I fixed all the burned out dash bulbs, clened the gauges all up, and dismantled to CD player and cleaned it up. It still is a POS. It's great having more than just an oven setting with the temp. Thanks!
