2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Installing new Steering Box

I am considering installing a new PCS Steering box. Is there any need to replace the stock pump if it is still working fine with the stock box?

Should be fine. But I would flush out all the lines. I also recommend installing a Magnefine in line filter. The 3/8" fits in your return line and filters the pump, power steering gear box, and the hydraboost. They are inexpensive, and work. I cut one open after a year of use and could not believe the crap inside. This was with synthetic power steering fluid.

I was curious if one could replace a Gen2 steering box with a Gen3 steering box? For the improved ratios.

like mentioned there's no need to do so

Even though the steering was not sloppy on mine to begin with, the PSC box tightened up the steering
