I am considering installing a new PCS Steering box. Is there any need to replace the stock pump if it is still working fine with the stock box?

Should be fine. But I would flush out all the lines. I also recommend installing a Magnefine in line filter. The 3/8" fits in your return line and filters the pump, power steering gear box, and the hydraboost. They are inexpensive, and work. I cut one open after a year of use and could not believe the crap inside. This was with synthetic power steering fluid.

like mentioned there's no need to do so :)

Even though the steering was not sloppy on mine to begin with, the PSC box tightened up the steering :)
