I have just got my hands on our first 4 (thats right 4) disc Torque Converter. I will be installing this converter in our shop on Monday or Tuesday. We are using a special stator setup. The stator setup is found in industrial forklifts. The torque multiplication properties of this stator are awesome, this will allow us to lower the stall / tighten up the converter w\o sacrificing any low end acceleration. The converter clutch steels will be of the square design, PRT never uses any with the round tab deisgn as they are prone to wear and rattle. To my knowledge we are the only company in the country that is producing a 4 disc converter. We are putting an unlimited horsepower and torque rating on this converter. We will warranty it to the original owner for up to 5 yrs, if a reman HP / Towing Valve Body is purchased or if the converter is purchased with our Stage III Trans. I will post my initial impressions of this converter Wed. or Thurs.....

thats pretty cool, good luck.

Oh, what you automatic guys gotta do to run with us big boys and our 6 speeds :-laf :-laf

I had two Supra's a 94 TT BPU+ and a 96 Single T66 Auto. I would never even think about racing my Viper against a MODDED supra, as it is no contest. The Supra would kick the poop out of the Viper... Besides, I traded the Viper in on a C6 Corvette. It is currently being fitted with twin t3/t4 hybrids ~850HP at the crank. I would race you in it when it is done!!!!See ya Around!!

Sounds like a fun ride Koop. I have a customer with a Supra here in town that will run just about anything on the highway. He likes the top end stuff. :) Lemme know if you ever get to Vegas.

That Supra is fast, way fast but it is as much of a "street car" as my rock crawling Jeep is. Can it be driven on the street? yes. But a street car? Come on. I'll give you the slicks but I would like to see a pass made with the boost up high enough to run those numbers done on pump gas (93). But thanks for the video, now I know not to line my Chevelle (11. 90s on 93 fuel) up next to a white Supra.

Scott

Just remember 2 things here guys;

1)There's no replacement for displacement

2)There's "always" someone who's faster

Eastern and Flamingo, East LV. Bring Rice, are Vipers are on a high starch diet!

Cool, a local. :) If you'd like me to try to set it up, just let me know what Sunday works for you. They run 80-on for about a 1/4 mile or so.

So what do you have done to that Viper?

Just give John Hennessey a call and ask him what he thinks about supras :-laf

His twin turbo viper was recenlty humbled by a little 3 litre single turbo supra.

SSSSHHHHHHH! I'm working here. :-laf

Yes the supra's do have alot of capability after about 50,000 is dumped into one. I always calculate hp to dollar ratio in any car's worthyness you could take a 05 cobra change pulleys on blower and dust many supercars. I personally would never build an import just for that reason why try to build massive power out of such a small engine. So many guys with 10k invested into acuras and hondas and they still cant drop below 14 second quarter. I bought a 98 mustang gt brand new when I was 19 I loved spanking all the imports in puyallup I have never to this day understood the import craze just seems pointless like all the hot chicks though

Kyle, I like to do that too. But in all honesty, it's because I have to justify the fact that I can't put that kind of money into a car. If I could afford to, I would too. :cool:

Back to the torque converter... ..... I know that it was supposed to be installed today. Any other info on the performance, etc. Sorry about interupting the Supra thread... ;)
