So here's what happened, I was installing my trans temp gauge in my truck, '04 3500 4x4 Auto, on the dash and was using a short piece of 14ga. tie wire to fish the wires throught the dash so that I could tie everything in. Everything was going great and all I had left to wire was the illumination wire and when I went to fish it through, poof! I pulled the wire out and swallowed hard, I knew I shorted something. Now, the only gauge that does work is the trans temp gauge! The truck starts and runs but all of the dumby lights in the instrument cluster stay on and the gauges don't come up and none of the lights work including the headlights and running lights. I've checked all of my fuses but found nothing and now there is a faint dinging noise under the dash that stays on all of the time that sounds like the one that dings when you leave your lights on after you kill the truck.

I pulled the instrument cluster out of the truck and unscrewed the back off of it to inspect, but every thing looks fine. I can't tell where I have damaged anything. Whenever I start the truck, It brings up the odometer then it says "NO BUS". I'm guessing this could solve my problem, but I don't know what it is trying to tell me.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. I just wish that Edge would have incorporated a trans temp gauge and sending unit in their package with the Attitude. Guess I can't blame them for something stupid that I did.
