Instrument cluster question.

Sorry if this has been covered before. I looked at another new truck ysterday. This one was a Big Horn instead of the Laramie that I have been looking at. This truck only has the Instrument Cluster that includes the tach, speed, def, and fuel gauges. Are you able to see water temp, oil pressure, etc. in the EVIC display? I didn't have time to play around with it to see what all the display includes.

Yes and depending on the EVIC used much more. You have a digital readout of trans, coolant & oil temps, boost and exhaust HP w/ the brake. No EGT's however I bought a used Bully Dog GT which allows monitoring of PID's not available in the EVIC such as EGT's and throttle position. I do not have a tune loaded to my 21013 and have no intention of doing so. You would need to remove the engine control module and send to Bully Dog for a $1200 (!) unlock in order to load a performance tune. That's not worth the expense besides I am pleased with stock power. I spent $300 for the GT which is about what a gauge set would cost and to me was worth it as you can do much more with this box than monitor PID's. It has a driving coach to assist with optimum economy driving, the ability to read and clear CEL's to name a few.

Thanks. I've learned quite a bit looking for a new one. Like, you only get the upgraded instrument cluster in a Big Horn if you order the Luxury Pkg. Does you Outdoorsman have the upper level cluster?

Yes , it most everything that comes on a Laramie except leather and Laramie trim
