has any one experienced the instrument panel not working correctly.

mine has been acting strange. the gauges - fuel, temp, oil, voltage, speedometer, rpms won't work and abs, airbag, fuel, lites come on. also the overdrive shutoff won't work. they will come back on after a while of driving. some times the gauges will come on but not the speedometer or rpm guage and airbag lite stays on then they fluctuate till they all come back. i've checked as many plugs in the engine compartment and under dash as i could find i also diconnected both negative cables at the same time for about 2 or 3 minutes. it has had no effect. if any one has had this problem please help!!

sorry didn't think about in the truck specs. it's a 2000 3500 QC 4x4 dually other than add on gauges and deep trans pan truck is stock

Make sure your batteries are well charged, a weak battery can cause computer problems. And as said before, check the grounds, and all the connections.

thanks i ordered new batteries the other day because they are 5 yrs old. hopefully i will get them in tomorrow and will check all the grounds. are there any grounds hidden under the dash? i've been on the tug since sunday night i started it tonight and every thing worked fine.

Your BUS connectors on the back of the gauge cluster maybe dirty, or have bad contacts. All the info comes from the PCM to the gauge cluster via, the two BUS connectors. When you pull your bezel off, then take out the four retaining screws, and CAREFULLY pull the gauge cluster out. Take a look there and also, the PCM plugs.
