Insurance Claim Help!!!!! Need some wisdom

Long Post sorry!

Someone hit me in a accident and damaged one

of my American Racing Tyrant wheels, which are no longer available. The other persons insurance company will not agree to replace all wheels, they want to replace one, so I will be riding on 3 matching wheels and of course one not matching.

They have agreed to pay for one wheel knowing that it is no longer available, so I'm wanting to get pricing for

ONE custom wheel CNC machined. I really want to prove my point and show them that it is in their best interest to buy four matching wheels than to have me get the ONE wheel replaced, since that is what they are actually offering.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The thing is.........

They hit you. It is their problem if the wheel is unavailable, not yours. I been down this road before. I got a reasonable replacement SET of wheels, mounted & balanced. They also had to get me a rental car while they repaired mine. A large chain tire center stripped several wheel lugs, bent 1 rim, and scratched 2 others. They refused to buy a set at first, but eventually coughed up the $. Let them put mustard on the bill; it`ll taste better. DK.

Try contacting American Racing. Maybe they can locate one of the rims somewhere. Else see if they can make you one. Then send the insurance a big fat quote

The insurance company should get you a matching set of 4 wheels of similar quality to what you now have. Then you give them the set you now have (3 good ones and 1 damaged one). Since they seem to think that your 3 wheels are good enough for you, they should be happy to get them.

Suggest to them that you can talk to the state insurance board or the state consumer protection agency. To be fair, they may elect to give you a used set of wheels or used value for your wheels. BUT-- if thay already offered to give you ONE new wheel,that dog will not hunt.
