Okay, the inevitable question - anyone out there recently replace/repair all or portions of a '93 front clip, to include the fenders, hood, cowl cover, bumper, radiator, intercooler, core support, grille, all lights, etc etc, and any prices?

I need a 'ball park' price to have as 'ammo' in case the insurance folks try to low-ball me.

Fair market for the truck pre-accident is about $6,600, trade-in is about $4,000, but what's a whole front clip cost to replace? I haven't found much on the web for replacement parts and I'm pretty sure they're going to try to call the truck a total loss and try to 'salvage' the title, which I won't let them do. I'm going to keep the truck and repair it myself, but I need an honest figure as a counter offer if theirs is ridiculous.

I really appreciate y'alls help on this - it'll probably all go down this week.

I know what you mean Sam had same thing happen to me had a 1993 ex cab 5 speed and lady pulled out in frount of me and the insurance told me he did not do many diesel he looked in the yard for my frount clip buy for some reson he did not find one. I told him when he came to look at it he was not going to find one. It was a tatol loss it made me sick was a get truck just need a frount clip. Good luck Sam hope you make out better then I did sorry do not rember how much it was going to cost.

I don't remember what the exact cost was (3000?), but when I bought my 93 from the previous owner, he had just put on new fenders and a grill, with paint. This was about a year and a half ago. The fenders were easier to get than the grill if my mind serves correct. Sorry to see your pictures. Glad everyone is ok.

If they fix it. Be sure to tell them OEM parts. You do not want a set of repo aftermarket front fenders on your truck.

I'm looking at 3,700. 00 w/ after market fender and hood. One of my fenders didn't get crunched and was OK but I need everything else. I think they wanted 5,700. 00 w/ OEM parts. I don't know how that worked out I had a hard time talking to the front desk girl and could never find the owner at the first place. Anyone out there have a radiator support? for 91-93 OEM? The guy is telling me that's the only part holding me up from moving cattle and can you tell me how bad the after market fenders are?

May you all be well, happy and peaceful

The after market fenders are made to look like a OEM. But the metal is thinner.

The primer on them is junk. Leave none of it on the fender.

If you bend it enough you might get your body lines close to matching.

Now for the big issue. Do not lean on them when you are working under the hood. They will bend and dent and distort.

Think of the repo parts as last resort. If you can't find new or used OEM parts.

my dilema is I want to keep the truck, and I can do all my own work, and I'm doing the project, so I don't want the truck fixed by a body shop - I want to do the work on my own time, but of course I want to be compensated for the damages. I explained this to the adjuster - he was very amicable to what I wanted to do, and his estimates were based on all of the labor costs, which when added up would be mroe than the vehicle's 'worth', so I told him I just wanted to be compensated for the parts and I'd do it myself, and he allowed that that kind of negotiating is doable. I was also very resolute in my statement that I did not want the truck totaled or salvaged, period.

I should hear back sometime today or tomorrow. I'm hoping for between $3000-3500 from the agency. I told them that if the settlement was in that ball park I would be happy and go away, close the file. After asking about the progress with him yesterday he said they were still running their numbers per normal procedures and were actually trying to ensure they don't short change me. Hope I'm not being fed a line and I don't get a ridiculous figure tomorrow, but the guy seemes genuinely interested in making an amicable mends to the situation. You'll know when I know.
