intake air box for my 99

I need an intake air filter box. Mine got broken up in an accident. Also would I be better to replace this filter with an amsoil filter or just go with the so called honkin filter. My 99 is stock with 25000 miles and I am just starting to think about an ez box or whatever. Thanks.

a significant number of folks will tell you to leave the airbox off and go with the BHAF. i tried stock, K&N, and NAPA gold in the box. drilled about eight 1 1/2" holes in the bottomn of the airbox. got the Bhaf on now and like it the best. i'm sure you know it simply attaches to the airbox end of the hose.

I have the air box off my 99 and would give it to you if you want it, you can also have the Napa gold thats in it only has about 1500 miles on it and I will even give you the K&N if you want it to. Oh I forgot to metion that the box has about 6 2" holes in the bottom of it.

Heres what I found. Use fleetguard filter #AH19002. Its 8" diameter and 12" long with the same inlet as the AH19037. Still much more surface area then stock filter and it gives you a little more room around the filter. Also this filter is fiberglass not paper which wont fall apart if it gets wet and get sucked in your intercooler and turbo. Cost about $90. We are getting a shied fabricated as I type. If we can scan it we will put it out to everyone. Its slightly improved from the one already posted. Paul.
