Donaldson or Walker exhaust tubing, combined with some 4" intercooler boot, and you can make a decent, less restrictive, intake boot. Paint is needed, IMO..... Donaldson and Walker makes a lot of 4" pieces with 90, 67,60, 45, 30* bends. I think two 45* bends, one just off the turbo, and one just off the filter, with a short piece between, make a great setup. Donaldson Part #P207353 from TruckPro. But too much intercooler boot, and you can get some collapsing issues, but not enough, and you can pull the boots off or pull the filter box off the fender from engine torque... . I've had to make some to replace some factory boots that were eaten up by time and rats... . The Gates 4" Durion Silicone Hose is part #24864 at Orielly's..... I "think" the Walker 45* 4" exhaust tubing part number at Orielly's is #41430 or 41475, aluminized. Both make chrome pieces, too, if you want to go that route... . I don't think Orielly's can get those... . They look pretty sharp, sometimes... . 4" hose clamps are available at just about any home improvement or hardware store, such as Home Depot, or Lowe's (lowering your standard... . ), you'll probably need a size 64 or larger..... Orielly part number is MHC MP5064... .
I'll try to get a pic of one I've built. I think a truck is coming in Monday or Tuesday for a transmission service that's got one on it.
