I'm still not to sure what Ted was running into on those tests. It seems to me that you would have to do mods that increased your boost to cause defueling. My boost level never changed with the addition of exhaust or air box mods. Maybe it's because it IS defueling, however I now have a box that does boost fooling even in the off position and my boost levels are still the same as stock. Does this disprove the theory?
 
My understanding is that your ECM is reading the absolute pressure from the MAP sensor and when the turbo spool up fast and pressure is sent to the computer it defuels as a safe guard. The after market fueling boxes are supposed to fool the ECM on what the MAP is and therefore no defueling.



Boost pressure is different than MAP and only the computer is seeing the MAP not the Boost pressure. I could be mistaken but this is how I understood it. Responsiveness is supposed to decrease whether you have a fueling box or not.
