Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) intake heater

I know that my cummins has an intake heater. But does it also have glow plugs? I have heard many different things. If you can tell me how they both work if i have them.

iT IS TO MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THE intake heater warms the air before it enters the, well intake. I JUST HEARD ALSO THAT IT WARMS FUEL AS THE LINE RIGHT UNDER IT SHOOTS IT ACROSS THE WARM AIR, not sure about that though. Glow plugs on the other hand which your truck does not have glow red and heat the tops of the cylynders. A knowledgeable person will break it down for you better im sure but I think im close.

The Cummins only has grid heaters, no glow plugs. The fuel heater is also electric, but a seperate system from the grid heaters.
