Off Roading Intake/snorkel

For the guys that spend lots of time in the dirt, what are you using for air intake systems and filters? Something that I may want to incorporate down the road is a possible snorkel set up.

True all the that stuff needs to be addressed when the time comes. Right now I'm more concerned with finding a good intake system that I can work with later on down the road. The snorkel will not happen anytime soon.

Anyone got any ideas on how to keep snow out of the intake. Been having problems the last couple of winters, so much that I have to keep a cheap replacement filter in the toolbox to throw in for snow runnin. Snows comes in through the fender, fills up the air box. I am not convinced a aftermarket inatke system will prevent this either.
