I removed my air box over the weekend and noticed this crease, is it supposed to be there? With everything in place, I don't see that this extra clearance is needed to clear anything.

I assume it's a factory dent. But why were you messing with the intake??? For God sakes I hope you were not doing a top oil filter change.

I got the "service air box, see dealer message". So I popped the lid off to see if there was any intake hose debris that has been mentioned here a few times....but nothing there. I thought I might as well clean the whole box out for good measure. Since it had dirt, bugs, salt residue, I figured it would be best just to remove it and spray it out with the garden hose.

Message went away and hasn't come back (I replaced the air filter a couple days later anyway). It must have been a fluke.

Heavens no! In fact, just the other day was my first oil change with the Lisle filter cap and this was definitely the easiest method I have used. I will not be going through the top again. ;)

Went and looked, my 2015 3500 has a same dent in the pipe. Not easy to see, but found it.

It is there is make the boost stick at 10 lbs under certain driving conditions on cruise control.

Thanks for checking. Now I can sleep at night.

Ha! Admittedly, it crossed my mind....but I realized that wouldn't explain the intermittentness of it.
