Intank pumps

A 2nd gen guy asking the 3rd gen group if anyone with a 2005 with the intank pump has had any problems. Also, if a 2005 owner has a fuel pressure guage what pressure you are reading. Thanks for any info you can give.

no issues as of yet. Only got 4k miles though. Not to sure how well they work with fueling boxes though.

ive got 11k on mine but have added a holley blue. before the blue i drove to texas and was seeing about 5-6 psi. i could pull it down to 2-3psi. didn't really like that too much hense the blue i put on. now im reading 15-17psi at idle and full throttle maybe 14psi at the lowest.

The in-tank pumps seem to be good enough to handle a stock setup but it doesn't take too long when adding boxes to have problems. Its pretty easy with aggressive fueling to run the rail low on fuel and have problems. Not sure I would want to trust it to make a VP44 happy, especially if there are any mods done.

8K on my 2005. 5 (G56) and I see 6-7psi on my FP gauge almost across the range of power. My truck is stock, but the pressure just doesn't change much, unlike my 2001 did...

Nick05, how did you run your holley blue? Is it in line with the factory lift pump that is in the tank? Did you take the factory lift pump out and convert it back to the old style? I am just wondering if the blue with pull fuel through the factory pump. Let me know what you did.

Wish we could convince someone like holley or edelbrock to make a high quality replacement for the in-tank pump that would support massive bomb to stock trucks. Anyone out there with the connections to do this?
