Intercooler Conversion

Hi everyone! I just subscribed here about a week ago after I received a lot of recommendations. I purchased my first diesel last September. It's an '89 350 4x4 5 speed Dually flatbed, 83,000 originial miles. Since it is my first diesel, I'm still learning. I just purchased a pyro, tach, and boost gauge which I plan to install at the end of the week. I am also looking to add an intercooler soon, so I can do some major mods. My question is, does anyone have any pics or diagrams of a 1st gen intercooled truck? If not, Can someone tell me how it is installed? Most componants will have to be custom fabricated, which I am no stranger to and not afraid of. I have searched all over for a donor truck to get all the parts off of, but they do not exist in this area. Oh yeah, I forgot. I plan on installing a HX35 Turbo w/ 16 housing the same time I add the intercooler. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Best bet would be go with the Banks kit. http://www.bankspower.com/System.cfm?appid=AD04&sysid=SD11. Trust me, been there done that. Runs $895-1000 depending on who you buy it from, be it Banks or distributor for Banks. Also you won't need the whole system, just the Technicooler kit.

I saw that. Unfortunately, it's not in my budget and I already have an intercooler. I'd much rather buy the Banks though.

hello,i have a 92 that is wrecked,and still have the parts todo the job,pm me if your in need of these parts,if not, the snail out put is pointed down to the frame ,from there a steel tube goes foward to the intercooler, from the drivers side another steel tube comes from the intercooler to intake at the motor, could get you pictures too. hope this helps
