Anyone know the trick to keeping the intercooler hoses from blowing off. This time was the worst just passing a furd and woosh it goes had to back out and crawl under and re attach this happens at least once a year.
My suggestion is to use a torque wrench at least once to get a feel for how tight the clamps need to be. The torque listed in the manual is much higher than I would ever consider doing by feel alone. Only problem is I can't remember the torque off-hand, look in your manual or someone else pipe in. Some folks have also switched to clamps that are spring loaded and don't come loose, they are available at large truck parts shops or from Dodge if you want to pay the price.
EMD, I don't know the p/n for the Dodge clamps but it should be easy to come up with, they are the clamps used on the CTD for the past couple of years, you may not even be able to get the old style any more.
Thanks, I have to go to the dealer anyhow to have the Clockspring done so i will ask them then about the part numbers and if i get them ill post them here.
