Hello,

In the past couple of weeks the boost in my truck has dropped from 20 psi to 15 and the smoke and EGT have increased. I am now able to hit 1200*F on the pyro. I used to only get 1100*F. Anyway, I found that I have a bad intercooler hump hose just below the 90* elbow underneath the turbo. Where is the best place to get a new one? Does anyone have a Cummins part number? I need to get it going by Saturday as the land lord wants the gooseneck out of the driveway. The boot is oil soaked and loosing shape (from tipping oil filters over it for the past 10 years). Thanks for the help.

Hi, Jeremy

I'd change out all the boots like I did with silicone boost hoses that are good to 195psi burst and high heat capable. They won't baloon up like the factory crap and will outlast the truck. Don't know the price of the stealer but I do know PDR is selling it for about $3. 00 a inch. You would need a total 18" to do all 4 boots.

I. D. is 2. 5" and are light blue. I have all specs if you need.

Sounds like you need it asap which would mean overnight but wouldn't be too much as weight and size is min.

Specs

Thanks for the help Mark. I sure could use the specs. I will give PDR a call tomorrow. I had thought about boot replacement, but never did it. The boot hooking the plumbing to the intake manifold got reseated last week. I think it is time to invest in new hoses. Thanks again.
