Intercooler paint peeling

the passenger side aluminum black paint is peeling? Any one have this? I wouldn't worry about it to MUCH except for the fact it is right in the front of the grill. GOOD NEWS is there isn't a pin hole in it. I looked for that first.

I have the same problem, but on both sides. I have some 2" wide black electrical tape that I used to cover both sides of the intercooler to keep it from peeling more. I think the new "600" has plastic covers for both sides of the intercooler. When I get some time I will head down to the dealer and check it out.

The CTD 600 only has a "cover" on the pass side. I was going to see if I could find or make one for the drivers side as well.

mine's had small flakes in the paint on the end tanks on the IC since new... may touch it up with some tremclad gloss black someday...

FYI really not complaining. My first instinct was OHHH CRAp I got a pin hole or crack in the intercooler. Well, I checked and doublechecked. AMEN felt good NO leaks. I was just wondering if it was common.

But HEY,

I can take it. After all I am one of the few here WHO miss seeing your whining, crying, AND sometimes zany ideas.
